On Dec. 12, 2015, graduation ceremony of Tongji SIMBA PT14 was held at the hall of School of Economics and Management of Tongji University. Prof. Wu Jiang, vice president of Tongji University, Prof. Armel de la Bourdonnaye, President of ENPC, Prof. Huo Jiazhen, Dean of Tongji SEM and Alon Rozen, Dean of International Business School of ENPC attended the ceremony.
Graduation ceremony began with national anthems of China and France. Graduates of PT14 and their families,teachers and staff of SIMBA witnessed this exciting and unforgettable moment together.
Dr. Wu Jing, Executive Dean of SIMBA, delivered a welcome speech to the guests. Vice President Wu Jiang gave a speech to send congratulations to the graduates and wished they can put their knowledge into practice and gain more achievements in the future both in life and career.
Dean Huo Jiazhen held the view that Tongji SIMBA was in the top 100 of 2015's global EMBA rankings by FT(Financial Times) again, ranking No.57, which has moved up 11 places compared to 2014's ranking. In the increasingly competitive market of EMBA in Shanghai, this outstanding achievement can't be realized without strong support of university, teachers and students' efforts.
As a tradition of SIMBA, graduate representative Shen Zhiqian gave a wise and impressive speech, making atmosphere actively, which perfectly reflects the spirit of wisdom and diligence of SIMBA students.
Then, Dean Huo awarded scholarships to graduates. Graduates of PT14 (ranking regardless): Brahim of ASI Logistics and Shao Weixia of KUKA Robot won the outstanding graduate scholarship because of their excellent academic performance and extraordinary team spirit. Finally, presidents awarded master degree certificates to graduates. Graduates of PT14 got Master of Business Administration officially and had a perfect end for two-year study.
After graduation ceremony, graduates held the view that studying in SIMBA is an important decision in their life, especially for managers who work in Sino-foreign joint venture and wholly foreign owned enterprise. Except promotion of positions and increase of salary, these managers also build an alumni network through SIMBA, which is a precious treasure for their future developments of career. Accumulation of fifteen years and brand value of SIMBA also attract more and more international elites who work in Shanghai to study in SIMBA. In 2014, nearly 20% students are from Europe, U.S.A., Hong Kong and Taiwan, their participation fully reflects SIMBA 's international influence.
